Makes sense. Dogs are great at picking up scents.
If only they weren't used for evil (as drug sniffer dogs)

im curious aswell
im assuming so, but the fact they are in cookie form can make it less suspicious
its one way of fooling the handler because they might just think the dog is attracted to the food

Orrrrrrrr, use the evil for good. Like, bring a drug sniffing dog to a huge parking lot and find lame drug dealers cars and smoke their shit

Yea they can. I don't have any proof but yes they can. And no a cookie will not fool anyone. They train those dogs around food and shit all the time.
Source: I bought my second black lab from a guy in LA who trains drug dogs for them and we had a good talk about this stuff

I know you could probably Feed a pot cookie to the k-9 dog and then he will realize hes been conditioned his whole life to believe in something that's immoral and unjust and rebel against the law enforcement and judicial system, run away from his master, hop a train and join a commune.

my labs love weed, like i honestly believe that they may have indulged in the ganja over the years and its in their being to consume it.
i could be wrong but my dogs love weed. probably because theyve been on the train since they were like 6 weeks old

i wouldnt be too shure of dogs being able to target everything thc lemme explain a bit
they did a raid at one of my dealer friends a while back, he had gotten rid of all his shit cause he noticed cops had been snooping around quite a bit, they did the raid drug dogs were all over his bleach cleaned ashtray like crazy, 4 hours later they turned up nothing, like a month after that he had found a little baggie of hash he had stashed and forgotten about in a shoebox
my opinion is that mabe drug dogs are trained to find mj plantmatter and hash for the most part is plantmatter free  dont take my word for it though its just a theory

they're not 2 good at findin plant matter either. I got pulled over and caught with a hitter so the popo call the k-9 to sniff out my truck. Well I hid a bag of weed under the rubber boot for my stick shift and the dogs nor the cops ever found it. 2 months later i pull my truck outa the impound, go home, and blaze up...

Your friend just got lucky. It happens. But in any case when you do an extraction from weed to butter you're getting all the oils and terpenes as well as the cannabinoids so there definitely is still something there for the dog to smell.
