If it wasn't for snow-boarding, i would also hate winter, cold just makes me lazy, never anything to do, and im not really a big holiday guy.

I like the Winter because I can always add more layers of clothing to stay warm. In the summer it is too fucking hot and miserable and I cannot do anything to get cooler.

yeah snowboarding makes winter tolerable, without it winter would really fucking suck

i usually fucking love winter too but it has been a big buzzkill this year, for example I had to leave my fucking car in some random neighborhood and walk home in the icy rain cause i live in the south and everyone decides they need to go prepare and buy shit whenever it gets icy out then nobody else can get home cause all these dumbasses crash every thirty feet
a common winter event for me is making a cozy spot in a garage and watching people crash, I will litterally see 10 people crash on a single small road in a 2 hour period

i also normally love winter, but this year has been harsh already. my rheumatoid arthritis has been playing up bad the past couple of weeks. fucking blows.

Yea usually I dig winter time. I'm a huge weather geek so that's one reason, I'm a snowboarding junkie, and it's mushroom season around here  ....
...So usually I'm ecstatic about winter, but for some reason not as much this time around. I think it's the short amount of daylight that's getting to me, sorta in a depressed funk of a mood.
A few more days until the solstice though  .

I think everybody just has not gotten acclimatized or whatever to it yet, just as winter was rolling around I fucking hated it but fine with it now. Could sure use some extra daylight though.

I like winter right up through January 2nd. See, the 1st is awesome because its just a huge party. And, December is OK because its Christmas time, and theres always lots of stuff for me to distract myself from the snow with.
January - April I just want to die though. The snow is really pretty for 2 months, and then I just can't take it anymore. I've said before...maybe it would be a different story if I still had my snowmobile...and if the state didn't make registration and insurance so high that its not even fun to ride it anymore.

Hmmm... I dont like xmas a great deal. I actually like January because that is when I am most in tune with winter. February can get kind of stale, but by the time March roles around I am happy because spring is at the doorstep. I actually love a crisp, dry, sunny winter day as much as I love a long, warm, lazy summer day.
Oh and, if you get a snowmobile thats fast enough you dont need any of that registration/insurance nonsense.
