I'll be getting my Andriod phone pretty soon. Samsung Intercept. I'm on Virgin Mobiles plan ($25 unlimited text/internet/pictures, 300 mins, can't beat it) so I've never actually had a decent phone.
I'm mad excited to get it haha.

The only thing I find intriguing about 3G and 4G phones is their potential to be used as wireless modems 
That would probably violate some terms of service I'm sure.

I really wonder sometimes how close the ties are between apple and the government. I mean Apple creates a lot of hype for their products, which all really limit your control over them. It makes me wonder what the future has in store for us. That said, i have an iphone and an imac. I love em.

What does your contract prohibit?
I just think it would come in handy in some more remote areas. You could always have an outside line to the interwebs.

Well, since my phone itself has unlimited interwebs, I doubt I'd be using it much.
I do have a few buddies who don't have phones, and only text on their ipods. It'd be neat if I could tether them to it so they could text anywhere they go, without worrying about wifi.
And I'm not sure...I don't really have a contract persay.
