Potassium problem
    #504235 - 12/09/10 09:57 AM (13 years, 3 months ago)

So, I started some seeds out so I could give my friends some plants for Christmas. One is two weeks in, the other is just a week in.

The one that is a week old is looking fine, but the 2 week old girl is showing signs of a potassium deficiency. It has also been growing at a ridiculously slow pace.

Since I have figured out her problem, I just fed her for the first time with FF Grow Big at half dose.

Does this seem like it will solve my problem, or are there extra steps I need to take?

I've had deficiencies before, but this one is so early on that she didn't even get a feeding yet :mad2: I'm using pretty shitty soil, which is why I'm not used to having to feed them so soon I suppose.

Of course it's happening inside your head.
Why should that mean it isn't real?

Fill this out for help

Soil Growers:
1. Are you growing from seed or clones?
2. How old are your plants?
3. How tall are your plants?
4. What size containers are they planted in?
5. What is your soil mix?
6. How often do you water and what type of water do you use?
7. What is the pH of your water?
8. What kind of fertilizer do you use and what is its NPK ratio?
9. Do you foliar feed or spray your plants with anything?
10. What kind of lights do you use and how many watts combined? (HPS, MH, fluorescent, halogen, incandescent "plant lights")
11. How close are your lights to the plants?
12. What size is your grow space in square feet?
13. What is the temperature and humidity in your grow space?
14. What is the pH of the soil?
15. Have you noticed any insect activity in your grow space?
16. How much experience do you have growing?

Maybe it is or maybe it is not Potassium, we will not know without this.

Thanks

As long as it was potassium, adjusting the ph is all you really needed to do other than add the potassium as it could have been locking it out in the first place. I can't really think of any other step than that.

The shitty soil, does it have any nutes in it?

No nutes in it. And, I know its only been a day, but the new growth looks A-OK.

So, it wasn't getting locked out, it just wasn't there at all
