When ever beautiful trichome frosted nugs get thrown into a grinder I just think of all those trichomes getting mashed and smeared within the grinder. Though I know it doesn't make a noticeable difference in the high, I still can't help but think about all those trichomes getting destroyed.


...And, of course if you have a kif catcher some of the bulbous-tops from the trichomes are going to fall through the screen :thumbup:.



Grinders are convenient for sure, though I don't roll that often. I like the consistency of the weed to be a bit more chunky then fine/powder in joints/blunts/bowls etc...Burns nice & slow.


When it comes to a vaporizer though, getting the bud to a fine consistency is nice :yesnod: ...

they didn't always have a clear top, it's a new feature.

i love the big holes they have though, i think it grinds to the absolute perfect consistency.

I know exactly where he's coming from though... They are smooth as butter/silk.  They use a very high quality material for the gasket/bushing where the lid contacts the next section where all the rotational friction occurs.  I've noticed on lesser brands such as my sharp stone, it has stretched and become frosty colored with so much use, whereas the 4-year old Space Case I used to own was as good as brand new when removed and cleaned with Iso... In fact I was scared to remove it because it remained so tight over the years.

QFT, no saracasm.

The best grinder I've ever owned my plastic volcano grinder.

It grinds through anything with EXTREME ease.
It grinds it down to a finer product than any metal grinder, more surface area for smoking.
It doesn't have a keif collecting chamber but those are a con anyway - after enough use any grinder will get to a point where no more keif can be collected inside it and the rememnants will get dumped out with the bud you're going to smoke.


Plastic grinders FTW. Cheap, effective, durable. I'll never buy a metal grinder again.
