So, I have this fixture in my bedroom. I don't use it anymore, and I'd like to use it during the winter time for some of the plants I normally leave on a windowsill (it gets too chilly for them to stay there, so they don't get any direct light).
My problem is, its directly wired into this here box thing. There isn't a normal "plug". I have plenty of old power adapters, but I'm not quite sure which one would be safe to splice onto this?
I have lots of heavy-duty extension cords as well as power cords for PCs no longer in use. Are these appropriate for splicing on?
Does the same apply to a HPS/MH light that was hard-wired into one of these "boxes"?
Thanks.
