how safe is it to be using shit like tht ive been downloading music and shit for about a year now and i just feel sketchy with all this stuff saved on my computer is there any way to stay anonymous while sailing the seven seas

They work good. Demonoid is the safest Ive found in my opinion, Allot of people will comment whether the torrent is being tracked or has viruses or Trojans etc. Pirate bay is a little less safe. Even with good comments I still watch it,scan it after downloading etc. I dont have peer guardian or any of that and Ive ben downloading for a good two years maybe longer. I download new movies, music and games. I wouldn't worry too much about it. IF you are nabbed most likely you'll get a letter from your ip provider saying you have dl an illegal torrent, but Ive read many reports of people who simply told them they where unaware or it was an accident.
Just make sure you read comments, lots and lots of comments. And read their dates as well. Some that where being watch five months or a year ago might not be being watched now. I've had no issues with downloading. and that is split between me downloading and my roommate. Between us both we downloading allot, and nothing as of yet.

I'm a member of a bunch of torrent sites and at the Pirate Bay I've uploaded enough to get the skull next to my name. Never caught shit about the crap uploaded or downloaded.
