Ever seen the episode of futurama called "Hell is Other Robots"?
I just recently got involved in Jean-Paul Sartre and have been reading a lot of him, so it was really crazy that I saw this on. 
In this episode of futurama Bender gets hooked on a robot drug. It is made to look something like marijuana or LSD but is very addictive.
He then turns to religion to become healed.
It is very funny.
Crazy synchronicity for me.

special guests include
Dan Castellaneta (the voice of Homer Simpson) as the Robot Devil
and 2/3 of the Beastie Boys as themselves

I really like the Day the Earth Stood Stupid. It's a classic that they pay homage to multiple times in later seasons

the futurama guys really had their stuff together.
they had huge chunks of the story worked out before they even began season one.
