Not a single one of those is widely available across North America.
This is what I am talking about (Nissan Leaf):
Nissan announced that availability for December 2010 is limited in quantities and to select markets and initially through online reservations only. The availability will be increased by spring 2011, with full U.S. market rollout planned for 2012.

I kinda thought that was implied. Otherwise, sorry for being unclear.
The Tesla is pretty cool, if you have 100 grand burning a hole in your pocket.

You can never assume, there's plenty of people who have no idea we've had electric cars since the early 1900's and at one point there were more electrics on the roads than gas.
