Why do some people think they have to clean a screen off everytime they smoke. My screen now has a giant rip down the middle from other people pulling it out and getting the shit off of it.

But damn.
Next time someone goes to clean it I'm going to just tell them I'm the only one that's allowed to take the screen out.

I take out my screen and blow all the loose shit off it after every cone, helps make them last longer.

In a metal pipe every few sessions ill take out the screen and burn the res off.

i only use glass screens now they last forever, i just drop mine in hot water and theyre good as new

Me too. Sometimes it snaps through into my mouth, but, eh, thats why I have a drink with me. If its in a bong, it just snaps into the water so it gets rinsed out anyway.
One of the older dudes I know will take the ash out of his mouth and put it back in the bowl if it breaks through

I get called a weed-snob all the time, because I won't smoke out of anything but glass...
Metal just gets too hot, and can produce fumes if it's the wrong type of metal. Plastic, well that just gives a funky, nasty taste to everything, IMO. My wife tells me that I'm crazy because if the plastic's not getting hot, there's no way it can give the smoke a taste, but I still say it does... lol Wood and cob pipes also burn funky and give the smoke a different taste too. And stone pipes are meant for smoking opium, not weed... lol
So for me, it's glass, or it's nothing. I've sat out of a whole session because they were using a metal pipe, or a plastic bong...

Not too often. I find they tend to waste a lot of smoke, IMO, and I'm a broke ass mofo... I can barely afford to smoke a wake and bake, a 420, and a nighttime bowl every day... lol
If one is being smoked, however, I won't pass it up... lol

ive used some really nice papers before, and they tasted delicious, i find that i get the taste of the weed better if its a good paper.

I'm so pissed my nice bowl for my bong got broke. Had the shit for years, lost it, found it in my yard after it had been mowed, and then it got broke by a friend. My bong's not even that nice, just a homemade bong from a drink cup, kinda similar to the grenade drinks in NOLA. GTFO would know what I'm talking about. But it has a glass slide and bowl. Hits like a champ but now I'm without a bowl till I can get over to the headshop across town to get one.
There used to be one a block away but the shut it down due to slow business.

When I was in high school, my friends and I actually had a contest to see who could get the most screens from around the town.
We went to every fast food restaurant and public bathroom we could find stealing all the screens in teams haha.
I don't think we even used them, but it was fun.
