Can anyone tell me how many times the air in a grow room should get changed per minute? In other words what is a good ratio between the air intake fan/fans cubic feet per minute rating and the volume of the grow box?

That's the first time I've heard 3-5 times a minute recommended. I've heard every minute to a minute and a half for optimal air exchange but have heard of many people exchanging air every 3 minutes.
You have to think of it like this.. if you're in fact moving 5 volumes of the rooms air each minute. Say your room is 500 cubic feet, that's 2500 cubic feet of air. How much of that air is actually passing the leaf surface? I think it would be far more practical to move the air around as much as possible at the canopy level and exchange the air once a minute.
