It was my adblocker, good call koopa. Somehow the whole "avatars" section of growery was blocked, but nothing else?  I must've done it with some mysterious keyboard shortcut or sommat

you may have accidentally right clicked and gone down to block images from the growery picture website. I tried to block somebody's avatar once, because I hated it and it just blocked all avatars. So that's probably what happened.
