Hell yeah, I know how that goes, although I've never gotten a DUI or anything, but I did lose my license for a year, about 2 years ago and it was the longest fucking year ever.
Don't go fuckin' it up though.

Nice, DUI's suck though I can't speak from experience, I don't even have my license yet, in Vic you have to do 120 hours of learner driving, so somebody has to be in the car with you, and you have to record every detail about the car before and after so I just cbf.
my gf's brother lost his license the day after a big night out because he still had alcohol in his system

They have been doing that a lot in MN lately. One friend who I did not even know was that far behind(turns out over 8,000 behind) lost his. Missouri will not do anything to my ex-bitch till she goes over 5,000 in back support.

Melbourne has a pretty good public transport system, so from my house I can catch the bus and it only takes me about 5mins to get me to the local train station and that will get my anywhere

It took me a few days to get used to driving again. I even got a ticket because I was so rusty.

Congrats I just got mine back a couple of months ago. Only lost it for 5 months but that is a damn long time as an 18 year old only having had his license for 4 months.
i think it worked a bit too. i'm more careful with my speeding and I always make sure i've got green plates on when i'm overloading. I hate the laws that don't protect anyone. Okay take my license if I speed, that can kill; but for having one mate in the back? For not putting a piece of plastic up on my windshield? Fuck you, the man, fuck you.
