Just picked up a slide due to my old one being caked with resin.
Do any of you use that formula 420 stuff? How do you clean your glass?

The sliders I put in a tall pill bottle and fill with 91% IPA (rubbing alc.). Let it sit for 24-36 hours, take out all the sliders except one and shake/swirl it until clean, then I pull it out and put in another. It you let it go too long you will need a pocket knife and/or paper clip.
With a bong or bubble I let it soak like before, then add sea salt (not Epson salt!) and swirl until its broken off all the resin. Again if you wait to long to clean its a bitch, you might need to heat up the IPA in a warm water bath with a mason jar. (no open flame!)

Cool, does this work with pipes as well? I have a really nice glass bowl that produces
the worst tasting smoke due to it never being cleaned.
So if I wait 24 hours then I'll definitely be good, right? I don't want to make the situation worse.
Can I add salt to the pipe solution, also? Do I add it when I go to swirl, or at the beginning?

I wouldn't use a bag, but yes, I would do a regular pipe the same as the sliders, find something just a little bit wider than the pipe so you don't have to use a shit load of IPA. If you use something plastic you can swirl/shake without breaking the pipe, so the salt would still work.
A paper clip will be useful here
Edit: I've always added salt at the end, but you can try at the beginning, I don't know

Thanks guys.
Yeah, I was planning on using some small tupperware containers.
I figure I can put the pipe and slide in there and soak it for 3 hours
with a salt + alcohol solution.
Edit: I rethought this and figure that I should check it after a half hour or hour
if what I found on google is accurate.

Gotta take care with glass.
I ordered some metal pipes as well, with wooden bowls.
I had a really nice one when I was younger, actually one of the first pipes
I've ever bought. It hit well and the taste was better than hitting in nickel
or brass.

wood might swell if you soak it, I would recommend cleaning frequently with Q-tips and IPA. Totally forgot to mention q-tips earlier, they help with the sliders

I don't let it sit for long, just shake it frequently. Also, warm iso with salt works best.
