 Caregiver Indoor Purple Afghani Scrog Soil grow! 400W MH/Hps Update 8/15

Hey guys, I'm finally ready. After months of fluorescent grows with inadequate lighting, I decided to step it up a notch. I just became an official Primary caregiver and I decided to document the occasion with a grow journal. 
These are my own strain from bagseed that has become an amazing beauty I call Purple Afghani, or at least that's what strain I was told it was when I bought it. Anywho, I'm gonna be running a 400 watt metal halide for veg in a 2' X 5' closet.
I will be using ScroG to maximize yield.
There will be 3(maybe 4) clones in 3 gallon pots. The mix is Sunshine #4 with 30% perlite added, as well as 10% composted manure.
The nutes are Botanicare pro with Liquid Karma, Gravity and Hydroplex to supplement. Will be using Roots Organics Oregonism fungi/bacteria inoculant and neem oil for pests. When Flowering comes I will switch to my 400 Watt High Pressure Sodium Lamp. I built both of my lamps from the ground up, reflector and all. Total cost was $30 for the MH and $90 for the HPS. New paint in the closet as well. Hope to have a decent harvest. May the Growery gods be pleased with my work.
Update: 7/13/2010
My bulb arrived in the mail yesterday, so it's all ready to go.
I've got my moms and little clones in there for now until the 4 bigger pots grow up to the screen.
This is my current flower room. SOG perpetual harvest. Those other clones in the veg room are going in here , and when they are done I'm gonna switch the lights out and do a scrog in there. Both closets are the same size.

Gave the scroggers a soak of Roots Organics Oregonism XL inoculant last night. They are looking good. Adjusting to the new light and about to explode with growth.

It's been a little while but i'm back with an update. The metal halide is phenomenal and the plants are growing 400% faster than the previous fluorescents. My HPS isn't going to be available for another 2 months because of my SOG in the other closet. But it looks as though these babies are going to be ready in a few weeks. Too much bud to control, now if only i could get rid of those damn fungus gnats....

The plants are looking amazing... I've never seen growth like this in my previous grows. Every day I am bending more and more branches down. The canopy is really starting to fill out! I'm not really sure when to flip the lights to 12/12 but my HPS still isn't going to be ready for 2 more months. So I either wait the time, flower with MH, or switch the lights, and flower my perp. harvest system with the MH. Judging on the pics below, what are your thoughts? I'll put it to a vote.
By the way all the yellow is either the camera or the bug catchers. All vegetation is a lush healthy green.

It's fuckin hot! man with the heat wave the temps in my grow room have skyrocketed. The have spiked nearly into the 100's. I need a ventilation system bad. If anyone is getting rid of one give me a holla. But other than that the plants look great. I'd say the screen is 60-70% full at this time... still worried about running out of space before I flower, but I'm getting a 600 HPS to put in there after Hempfest. So I'm probably gonna flower in a week or two. But i digress, some veg porn!
