I dunno yet.  Smoked a little bit.  Might be doin steak with the fam in a bit.  My grandmother is having a hip replacement Tuesday so we're kinda doin the family thing for a bit.  After that, however, muahahahahaha, I'll probably get up with some friends of mine, maybe drink a couple, smoke a couple and just chill.  Nothing set in stone yet though.  And yourself?

how old is your gma?  Those are serious surgeries, for sure.  good luck to her.  I have no plans from now until i go to work monday morning.  That's the way i like to keep it.  Whatever i feel like doing in the moment is what im goign to do.  Unfortunately i live in one of the most borning cities this side of the mississippi and rio grande.  however i was thinking about some chicken fried steak for dinner.  Saturday is usually my overindulgence night.  need to hang those posters at some point.  I should have done that when i was soberer.

She's 66, so it's being treated very serious for sure.  Thanks for the well wishes man.  Yeah, I mean I might not go get up with the friends I dunno.  It's a possibility though, just talked to him a little while ago.  Could just get high and lazy and play online poker and fuck around on Growery too.  Like I said earlier, nothing set in stone.  Probably get tired of sitting here after a while though. Who fuckin knows

My mom had a hip replacement surgery.  She was fine after like 2 weeks of recovery. Now she can hike mountains and stuff.  Thank you science for mimicking body parts!

Wish your grandma well for the hip surgery. Furrow never be ashamed you have not had to pull the trigger, mainly in anger. I have collected guns for 20 years now and I am an avid deer, and turkey hunter. I love going out to the range or like FBD friends farm to let off some steam and to just keep my skill in check. I also like using a bow, that is the real test of hunting skill. I take my kids with me as well, the one who are old enough that is, so they can learn how to be responsible with firearms.

Yeah, my grandma's not gonna be doing that.  I'm happy for your mom, but my gma will complain as long as she can, love her to death, but that's da trufe

kilroy-  Good to hear there's another firearm enthusiast on the Geezery (:wtf::lol:)  Gotta be responsible with the guns man.  Nothing wrong with having kids shoot, as long as you show them the right way to do it.

  waaaaaaaayyyyyyyysted

My kids too have been shooting since they were old enough to want to. They love it. Just got them sriously into bows this summer. A bow was the top of my oldest kid's birthday wishes.

I think all kids should be taught how to properly handle firearms regardless if any guns are in the household or not.

When I had the land I live on cleared and graded, I had the buddy of mine that was doing it build us a large hill out back just for our own personal shooting range backing. :awesome:

I'd like to shoot a longbow sometime.  Never done it before, but it sounds very fun.  Oh, by the way, I'm coming to your house to shoot at your hill tomorrow.  I got 3 pistols, a 30/30, and a shotgun.  Be ready :sparta:

You are very welcome to do so.

So long as you can responsibly handle firearms and blowing up shit while :gethigh:

As a teen I built a few long nice long bows from trees found on my own property. That's a feel good experience.

I would start with a section of young hickory the right diameter and shape it with am old plane given to me by my grandpa. I strung them with old throttle or brake cables from junked bikes. Never put a scale on one but they would easily shoot farther than my friends 80 pound compounds.

Well, I gotta say thanks for the invite first of all

Responsibility with firearms is number one on my list dude.  I won't shoot with anybody I feel like can't handle a gun.  There's only one time it takes to fuck up.  I'll take a friend or two to the range with me, but not everybody.  Some people you just can't trust when it comes down to it.

That's crazy you built the longbows with old brake cables n shit.  I think I might have shot a bow once or twice in my entire life.  I saw that show Top Shot a couple times, and the longbows had me very interested.  The accuracy you can achieve with them is ridiculous and almost hard to believe to be honest.

A bow in the right hands is a very accurate tool. A Indian could shoot a buffalo running while on a horse running as well, that is some serious skill. Some of my most memorable deer and turkey hunts have been with bow.  I watch top shot as well
