My cousin just went in for emergency surgery

They can't tell whats wrong with him, its "too inflamed" to figure it out so they are cutting him open to get a better look.

Its either his appendix or a tear in his intestines from what I understand. Hes been constipated and had a fever of 103 today.

Hes a fuckin trooper. I hope hes OK through his surgery...I've never had any myself so it all just sounds real scary to me.

I'm gonna roll him up the biggest blunt hes ever seen and get him super high when he gets out :sad:

My family flips shit over the littlest things, so I really don't know how serious all this is.

This kid has been through the craziest shit. I remember he was jumping on his trampoline, and came down wrong on the net. Caught his front tooth (permanent) on the net and ripped it out.(semi disturbing text)they could see the nerves retracting back into the tooth, they looked like "hairs". He got all the way to the dentist, sat all through them resetting his tooth and putting braces on to hold it in, etc without shedding 1 tear.

Hes a real badass haha. I'm sure he will be OK, its just scary to me.

Sorry to hear man, here's hoping for just appendicitis, I had it when I was young and its nothing, you get a little scar but I think they've changed the TEK to a Key Hole surgery thing now so you don't even get that.

Yeah, I posted it over there in the health forum because I was really worried about him.

I'm the only level-headed person in my family, so when some kind of crisis starts to happen, they all turn to me to be the stable one and let them know everything is going to be OK. This was something I had no idea about, so I was hoping someone in that section had experience with all of it. I hate the shroomery, I never really post there unless I'm trolling Shroomerites Anonymous or trading in the marketplace.

Anyway, hes out of intensive care and is in a normal room now. It turns out it was some crazy shit the doctors only "see one of per year". They cut his intestines and took out the part that was infected/torn and spliced it onto the other part *shudder*.

A little update...he ate some jello today and was able to keep it down (lunch) but couldn't hold his dinner jello...

Poor kid. The doctor doesn't know what the fuck hes doing. Hes a general surgeon and doesn't really know whats up.

And, theres something that has been going around...an infection of the intestines...and a few people I know have been in and out of the hospital with it. So, this could have been unnecessary surgery :facepalm:
