10 grams, ugh. that's a superhero quantity. from this perspective anyway. I ate 7 once and it completely shattered my world for about 6 hours.

First time I ever tripped I ate about 48 whole mushrooms over the course of about 4hours, and then tripped from 6pm until about 8:30am the next morning.
It was the single most amazing and life changing experience ever, but I don't think I'll eat that many for a little while, I have tripped a few times but I feel that I still haven't quite mastered the metal state I would like to be in, so I usually stick to about 10-15 whole mushrooms per trip these days.
In Australia we (stupidly) measure our trips by mushrooms, not by weight. Kinda silly because they vary in size and all that, but once you've done them a few times you get the hang of dosing just by looking at the pile of shrooms and deciding how many you wanna take.

yikes. I would stop that habit. i had seven grams dry, but it was also probably 50 mushrooms. Stringy ones that I grew on a cake. Later on i had mushrooms that were 10 grams dry. that just seems crazy how you could even think that's a good system.

like I said no one has to do that much. I did it because others on a certain board was talking about it so I am a man I can do that(famous last words right lol) and needless to say it was an ego ending trip. I wanted it to be over after about like 4-5 hours into it. I would not recommend it to someone unless they wanted to see just how messed up you can get. 3.5 is a decent dose and for most a good hard dose. I would say for the first time 1 to 1.5 is a good start and then you can see if you like it and if you want to go further with it.

I'm not saying its the smart thing to do at all, dosing by weight is infinitely smarter than by eye, but at the same time alot of the knowledge about shrooms is just word of mouth around here. For instance one of my friends introduced me to mushrooms, and he took me walking around picking and showed me what to look for where they grow ect.
And when it came to eating them we really didn't think about it, we had a shoe box full of Shrooms and we were in heaven. Ate them by the fistful pretty much. It was awesome but at the same time when I woke up the next day I realized I should probably be more careful, so I did some crude scattered/baked math and decided that if I tripped 'sooo much' on X amount of shrooms, then if I took Y amount of mushrooms then I would only trip 'so much'
And since I have done them more I can pick a dose by eye based on size, shape and still get pretty much where I wanna be, but I can only do that because I have experience, I would never recommend anyone to dose by eye ever, unless they are confidant in knowing how many is enough.
