Actually he's spot on with the more K vs P. I've read a bunch of articles talking about how little role P plays during flowering compared to N and K.

I can see the K for oil production and sugar/carb transfer, but I thought N was supposed to be slightly deficient during flower..and I thought P was expressly for yield..

Well my current line up is Flora Nova Bloom, Kool Bloom Liquid, and Kool Bloom Dry.
I'm going to stick with the Flora Nova for now, I'm going to axe the Kool Bloom liquid, and I'll be adding in big bud for this next run. After this grow is over I'll hopefully have time to do a side by side comparison of the same plant to see for myself.
I can't comment on the N part, and I'm still picking through that PDF, but I do know that N is extremely beneficial to the plant during the first 2-3 weeks of flowering. It's a fine line with the N though I'd say as extremely high concentrations of N can lead to problems with your buds.
From what I've read so far the common thread is that P is just not that important during flowering.

Going by that it can be pretty easy to see why you would want more K during flowering. While P plays a part in energy transfer, it seems that K is what helps the plant gets it food and water. Even that little snippet specifically states a lack of K is detrimental to your overall yield (bud size).
Now keep in mind that what you strive for is a perfect BALANCE of nutrient composition. If you just throw large amounts of K at your plants hoping for big buds you're just going to shoot yourself in the foot. So while it seems that P does not play as large of a role as most of us think, it still plays a role and needs to be accounted for.

Depends on what you have growing Sativa flowers longer than Indica, but it looks like yours is mainly Indica. I think that question is best asked to someone with more knowledge about flowering cycles than me.

Unfortunately my step dad was getting fed up with the smell. Personally, i love the earthy smell but I am living in his house so I had to harvest it before he destroyed it. Currently got a guerrilla grow on the go, will post a thread on it soon.
