Im waiting for the Reds game tonight, Reds are 1/2 game behind Cardinals for NL Central lead and play against Stephen Strasburg tonight. That kid has some nasty pitches.

I always had just the opposite. Could stay up for days and usually did on opiates unless you count occasionally nodding as sleeping.
Then when I would run out I'd crash for the most of the next two days.

Crashing out for a couple of days does sound better than not being able to sleep and having to deal with it more. It's a miserable crash though. Even sleep is not really an escape. It's very broken. Riddled with short cycles of bad dream sleep, waking to anxiety riddled mental misery, physical pain and repeat.
Benzos, weed and alcohol all seem to help at first but in the end left me completely unsatisfied and wanting a fix even more.
Nothing is better than heavy opiate doses when you have them but nothing is worse when you don't.
It passes though as you well know by now. Keep it up man.

That was fast. I only went a couple of rooms away.
Back on topic. I can't say I know of a better way. I don't like to think of worse. Something better would be nice. It's the only way I've ever even tried though.
