I use a Volcano and a grinder very often so I splurged today and dropped a cool 60 bucks a 3" Mendo Mulcher with Kief Screen. Boy was it worth it. I've had a couple cheapo screen grinders before (never tried Space Case) and they don't compare on any level.
It has twice as many teeth as as Space Case and the teeth are rounded as opposed to triangular so they don't stick unless its like stuffed full with rock-hard uber-sticky buds. Its also very substantial; heavy with a satisfying heft to it.
Finally, for some reason, the screen seems to collect more kief. For example, my "VapeNow" grinder was used for over 2 months and it has about the same amount of kief in it as my Mendo Mulcher in 2 weeks. Now I don't know if the screen itself. If you live in Nor Cal you should find them in your local smoke shop or in their WIllits shop where hty're made. If you can't find it locally then they have a site; use google "mendo mulcher.
They range in size, style, and price. Think global, buy local.

I was considering the mendo mulcher when I was in the market for a grinder, but I went ahead and splurged on the new titanium 4pc space case. I looooove it, I don't think I'll ever be buying another grinder.
what size kief screen do yours come with?

Yah, I have one of the original hockey puck sized space case. It's lasted me almost 10 years now, love it to death.

The only reason I didn't go with the mendo is because I read one report of a tooth breaking off and another report of a tiny bit of metal shavings.

What I meant to say in the OP was that I wasn't sure if it seems to collect more kief because the screen itself is simply bigger (3" in diameter) or if the micron count is just higher (190) than my other ones of unknown micron size.
As to the possible metal shavings, I think that just stems from how finely machined it is, everything is so plumb and flush that when you twist it even empty it makes a deep industrial grinding sound. No teeth have broken off yet lol and I'm sure if one did I could drive up to Willits (10 mins) and he'd give me a new grinder lol.

i have a really cheap grinder i got from some arab gas station. i removed the screen and bottom tray and just grind everything on to my rolling surface.

some nice looking grinders tho, will differently keep those brands in mind when I look for a new one, which probly will not be much longer since I by cheap ones that if I am lucky last 1 year, broken teeth happen before the 1 year mark, but I keep using it till it just can not go anymore

I have the same sharpstone that dopey posted
I took out the screen with the really wide holes cause all it did was catch shake and red hairs
I love the grinder though, as long as you keep the fine screen pretty clean you get LOTS of kief
But honestly I prefer the $5 plastic grinder that comes with the volcano, It grinds better than any other grinder ive ever used and ive used them all, space cases, chromium crushers, mendo mulchers, and even one called a space crusher lol
But maybe thats cause I like to grind my shit to almost a powder when vaping it up
