I have a spot cleared in the forest and dug a few holes .etc Now this place doesn't get a whole ton of sunlight but I'm hoping it should be enough for growth.
Now - my question is, in summer, the longest day is just under 14hrs which is just over the flowing day length (12hrs) to my knowledge. And because this is in the forest where it will receive less light, would my plants flower in summer?
Strain would have a huge impact on whether or not the plant flowers under such and such conditions. For example sativas flower earlier in the season whereas Indicas later in the season. Some strains are just more photosensitive and will freak flower under 16+hours of light, or may contain ruderalis blood.
12hour days don't mean a plant is going to flower.
Yeah the problem is that I'm growing bag seed haha If the seedlings are anything to go by, they are growing taller than a lot of pics I've seen which could mean Sativa but most likely not enough light. Oh well - I guess I'll just have to find out what happens and share my knowledge
