im sorry your having trouble quiting bro, i know its hard. i smoked, but only for 2 years. i get so tempted when im hanging with friends and they pull out a pack of cigs. i quit a couple months ago because i had to see my grandmother suffer through lung cancer, lukily she never died. seeing that was enough to force me to quit. i still do crave them alot.
Luckily I find tobacco smoke to be offensive. Having smoked weed before I ever tried a cigarette, tobacco smoke feels like my throat is closing. Instant cough fest from the smallest inhale. The only tobacco products I've been able to smoke has been black & milds and shisha though I've only smoked them on rare occasions.

I came to class stoned out of my mind every day, i chugged vodka in the back of class, i put dead fish in the ceiling tiles. i put a gallon of old milk and orange juice in the file cabinet before winter vacation. i brought snakes in a tied up sweater and let them loose during class. i didnt go to school to learn, i went because i had to. i didnt care, and i didn't fucking listen to that stupid bitch. and i still don't fucking care. i tore the pages out of her books and burned them, and threw away all the books in the class, two books per day.

same with me, i miss out on so many smoking sessions because i refuse to smoke a tobacco laced joint
Well ultimately the question is if it breaks down in that matter in the body. Just because a compound contains a harmful chemical doesn't mean the molecule itself is harmful. Take for instance, NaCl.
It's talking about hydroxylation, not a release of just naphthalene. I would still stay away from this stuff though, it can't be safer than cannabis just based on the way the smoke quickly condenses.
