Where do you guys get yours if you use them? If so could you post a link or the price? I'm talking about the automatic ones I see people using in videos to trim their bud.

LOL 5 plants? man if you can't handle trimming 5 plants you shouldn't be growing. Those trimming machines are worth it when you're harvesting a couple pounds a week but with 5 plants in a DWC you'll be pulling like 10 ounces every 3 months. Getting a trimming machine for that kind of output is kinda sad.

Well I've never had to do any but since I like to buy the best stuff to make things easy I figured I would ask.

Well if it's your first harvest then I would say you'll probably actually enjoy the trimming process. My first couple grows I absolutely loved trimming because it's the moment of payout for all your hard work when you're finally seeing some finished product.

Yah, and after the third time you're looking to pay someone else to do it for you! It took me almost 5 hours to take down 4 plants on Friday. Granted some of that time was spent hanging up the bud and taking a cig break now and then. But goddamn, is it some tedious work. Makes me happy I'm just a personal use grower, I think I'd absolutely dread harvest time if I was looking at multiple pounds of bud to trim.

Hence the reason I am looking for trimmers this fall.
If its just me and lucid it'll take a week.

if I was within driving distance I'd lend a hand. I think it'd take me a few days to get where you're at though
Maybe you should look into an auto trimmer then heheh.

It's all good. Some of the buyers are willing the help simply for the business. I plan to do some traveling in the next year, and meeting my favorite growerites is going to be high on the list. This 5 months is going to crawl by.

Those look identical to the clippers I use. Really easy on the hands, nice thin blades lets you get into small spots, and the spring (on mine at least) is nice and strong allowing you to move a bit quicker. I paid 10 dollars cheaper then what you see there, so you may find a better deal, but if you're going for a manual clipper I can highly recommend something that's styled like that.
What you need to look for is something that springs back open, otherwise your hands will be cramped up 1/2 way through your first plant. Nice sharp blades are a must. Lightweight is a good thing as well as thinner blades (IMO anyways).
This is a piece of equipment I'd put a little bit of cash into. Trimming is tedious, boring, work and anything that makes it go by quicker can be a godsend.

Cool, that's my reason for concern is just the hours of tedious work. I added another 5 plants to my grow right now so I think I'm in the grey area of whether or not to buy auto or manual clippers.

Manual...
Seriously you only need auto if you are harvesting like 10 Lbs.

Hah sorry but trust me you will enjoy it like Coda said for the first few harvests. It's an exciting experience and it's good to get practice, because there is definitely skill involved depending on how well you want the finished product to come out. Manual will always give you better bag appeal IMO if the trimmer knows what they are doing.
Hiring a few friends in exchange for a few branches always does the trick
