 Good camera to get?

Looking for opinions on cameras to get. I need something decently priced (I dont wanna spend thousands on a camera) Basically just looking to be able to take good quality macro shots and under hps lighting too. I dont have to take the macros under the hps but you know what I mean. What do you all recommend/use for macro shots?

Get a Cannon. In your case, get a Cannon Rebel XTi or XSi. Both are awesome, I've had both, love both. Their the bread and butter of cameras. I'm not much to say, but I guess i'd be considered a decent photographer, I have some gallerys I'm in, I'm going to college for it, I've been paid for prints, so over all, thats what I use. Great camera's, and once you get really into it you can sup em out with some really nice gear. I have a really nice fish eye, and some other cool lens and some other great stuff that can make it the most awesome thing ever. Both are really affordable and bet picture quality ever.

I've only heard good things about those. I think i will make one of those my next camera. I need to look and see if they have an intervalometer internally or support it externally.

I ended up getting a minolta dimage z1. Got it off of craigslist for a steal. I think it will work for what I need. It has "super macro" that allows you to get up to 1.6 inches away from something and still take a good pic.
