Need help idetntifying problems
    #419491 - 05/17/10 10:30 PM (13 years, 10 months ago)

This is my first grow and I am having difficulty identifying these problems:

1.      Pictures bellow – Hindu Skunk in flower week 4. Everything looked great until one branch on one plant, after starting to develop buds, leaves suddenly discolored and pistils turned black. It almost appears like a seed pods but they are not – these are buds without pistils. I flushed and so far no improvement.

2.      Pictures bellow – White Widow in veg. After 3 weeks, it suddenly started looking strange. I flushed and changed to PH adjusted R/O water but no improvement. As you may notice in the pictures, new growth looks grayish/yellowish and not healthy. Older leaves are “clawing“, became very narrow and dark. None of the leaves turned yellow nor died.

3.      Picture bellow – Kushage in flower week 4. While buds are looking good all leaves on the entire plant look just like in the picture.

I grow hydroponically with 4-phase R/O water in 6” Rockwool cubes:

Veg - 24 hour T-5 fluorescent light, 73-79 F and 50-70% humidity, PH 5.8 - AN Sensi Grow A&B, H2, Hygrozyme, SM-90, Dark Energy.

Flower 1000 Hortilux HID light ducted and vented, CO2 enrichment, 72-80 F and humidity 50% and spikes up to 65-70% at “dark” time, PH 5.8 – AN Sensi Bloom A&B, H2, Big Bud, Cal-Mag, Phospoload (once in 4th week) and Overdrive (final 2 weeks).

Feeding twice every 12 hours for 10 minutes.

Thank you in advance for your help.

did you transplant them before flowering? or did you transplant them while they were flowering?

Number 1 is tough but I would say it's a K def and perhaps spider mites? Don't know what else those white spots could be.

Number 2 is a Phosphorus overdose. I'm pretty sure.

Number 3 I think is a K def as well.

REMEMBER MOST PLANT DEFICIENCIES OCCUR FROM PH BEING OFF...
Yea I agree it's a hard to tell decision here, but I think 1 and 3 are definetly  K(Phosphorus) deficiency. For 2 he says K Toxicity, I'm going to go with Zinc toxicity. GO WITH WHAT HE SAYS.

You want to know how to fix these problems? Check your PH most of these problems happen from PH being off they just show up in the forms of nutes deficiencies and toxicities. If your PH levels are fine, than just adjust the nutes accordingly.
