Your idea will work. Myself I'd do it just a little different. I'd put the filter hanging from one of the rods that make up the roof. (I use darkrooms also the best tents on the market by far) That way the intake is in the hottest part of the tent and won't be pulling the heat threw the plant layer.

Thanks for the tip magash!  And Im glad to hear that I got a good tent!  I read up quite a bit on tents and decided on the darkroom and also got a really good deal on it!
Could you also check out my strain picks and let me know what you think of those too? Thanks again.
