i have no macro lense or setting but the top looks like male sacks but there are crystals growing out of it. this is about a week and a half since it started doing anything besides veg.
outdoor grow.
any way to id male or femail at this stage? this is the best photo i have

100% male. The "crystals" have nothing to do with it, for identifying a female you look for the pistils which are the white hairs.
That plant is absolutely male however

yup. man if we can tell from that ar away photo you should be able to tell weeks ago.. pre flowers at nodes you will see a small white hair a pistil. balls with no pistil (future red hair)
