So, I decided I'd teach my cousin whats up with growing this summer. Hes a good kid, burns a lot...hes real quiet and doesn't have many friends. We've grown apart in the past years, so this might be a really good chance for us to be bonding.
Actually, I only have one successful grow under my belt, but thats really only because of things holding me back. But, at least I know the basics and can show him how to sex the plant, when to harvest, etc...and I'll keep adding to the research I've done already.
Tl;dr, we will be learning together.
Anyway, I know I should do it in smaller bunches - maybe like 4 groups of 5? Or 5 groups of 4? Neighbors are not a concern...and I doubt they have helicopters out looking for it in the area.
I know I should piss around the grow area when I do go out to scare away animals.
So, anyway, if anyone could post some tips for growing outdoors that don't apply indoors, that would be really cool. I've read old threads too, but maybe something specific that applies to growing in a field. THANKS!

sounds like good times to be had.
The most important factor I've seen growing outdoors is LST. That will triple your potential yield straight away.
Don't be afraid to dose it up with hydro nutrients for veg and especially flower.
That way you'll have a huge yield outdoors and it'll be as resinous and potent as if you grew it indoors.

I won't be able to do much LST unfortunately. Its going to be in a remote area that I'll only be able to make it to a few times each month.
I've seen 10 foot tall monster bushes...I kinda don't want that lol. Seems much easier for people to spot. I'm not worried about getting the 5-oh called, I'm worried about motherfuckers stealing my plants.
The week before harvest, I'm gonna get a tent and sleep next to them with a fucking shotgun

OK first tip: Get outdoor genetics. You don't want to spend money on a strain that can't handle your environment.
2nd tip: You're in a field you don't want tall beasts, so pick an indica dominant strain. BC Kush is nice

I have some troublemaker seeds (hindu kush x master kush) that I was planning on using. I have an indoor one right now, and its the shortest, fattest little girl

Yea if you are doing guerilla style then I would recommend topping the plant during the second month of Veg.
