people are blank slates at birth. it's not their fault they were raised to believe such lunacy.
the only possible way to change the minds of this particular group of people would be to wipe them from existence. their energy will return to the lifestream and their rotting corpse will fertilize our home planet making for a much more useful existence than their current one.
and they'd think they'd be going to heaven. so it's a win-win situation for everyone.

Exactly.
If you spend a few minutes reading over that thread and a number of others you'll see their lunacy. Are they really so blind that they need to be told where to walk?
I'm all for the messages they give us about being a moral person but it really scares me when they get excessive. They're raised to listen to their pastors because God is good the church preaches a good way of life. Eventually they are convinced that the church cannot be wrong and that it is their duty to spread its good will.
At least that's how I think it happens, I've honestly only been to church twice.

Thats untrue. Most of my family is the epitome of insane...I could see my grandmother posting on those forums. They tried their damndest to do it to me, but I never let them.
I believe people really have a choice of what they accept and what they don't accept.
It was endlessly drilled into my brain that smoking marijuana was wrong, and swearing is wrong, porn is wrong, premarital sex is wrong...but look where I am today haha.
