I really like the discussion of his method of writing how he felt about the pieces on the back of the work.
I find true artists so interesting in the way that they approach their work.
Frank Lloyd Wright, Ansel Adams, and Paulo Soleri are also very deliberate in their approach to their respective crafts, and have a specific procedure and ideal in mind from the start.

I went to The Burchfield art museum to see a collection of his artwork and it was AMAZING, I am completely blown away by his art up close, he used everything from pencil, charcoal and chalk to oil, paint and water.
A lot of his paintings were enormous also, huge landscapes and mysterious settings,
they had hundreds of his paintings and doodles on display with large quotes of his...They also have a lot of the original paintings from this video and many more that were not in the vid.
This is by far my favorite visual artist... so much thought, emotion and meaning put into his work
too bad I couldn't take pictures.
This video doesn't even do justice to what they look like in real life nor did it compile his best work...
you have to see it to believe it,
waayy better live.

Burchfield lived nearby in my town when he died,
the park across the street from me has been in memorial for his art; "Burchfield Park" since 1999
