That might be possible but seein as how the first 30 seconds seem to be an advertisement I would say take it with a grain of salt. I remember seeing this video before and it tripped my BS-o-meter.

Oh and sorry I forgot to answer the question. If you have to much nutrients in the soil you can just flush it with water. Use 3 times as much water as you have dirt and just run it through. Some guides and books say to flush with a very light balanced N-P-K fertilizer the same way. Not sure if it help flush better or they just do that so they don't completely devoid the soil of food.

Make sure that nitrogen burn is the problem though or you could end up in a bigger mess. I have discovered that almost every problem looks like nitrogen to me so I end up here a lot.

umm I think it's mostly used to get nutes to the leaves quicker then putting em in the water/soil, but I don't know all the reasons you would or should. some people spray some people say you should not. I never have except some mists into the box to raise the RH when my momma was a young girl never as a feeding.

I figure in nature the plant gets all it needs from the roots so spraying food on the leaves is more of a backup thing then a 'better way'. maybe one of the mods will go into more detail then I can.

My buddy does it too but till I can grow here I have to live vicariously through him and put up with his poor measuring skills.

It will recover, well should, without pics it can be hard to say how bad it is but if it's just lower leaves that burned and died and the plant is still alive just give it time and some love and it will come back.

It is a weed after all. This is what I have to always remind myself, it will grow if you just don't kill it first
