Berries!
    #352752 - 01/24/10 05:48 PM (14 years, 2 months ago)

I just got some strawberry seeds cause I really wanted some type of fruit to grow outside this year.
I don't have much space but it sounds like fun.

I got some "alpine" type but it says on the back that its a runnerless.

That kind of sux. I wonder how it spreads.

Anyways, whats another easy fruit to grow? Just looking for suggestions

tomato's?

Melons, like honey dew or musk mellon or maybe even water mellon.

Raspberries are my favorite summertime fruit but they usually require a few years before becoming good producers.

Watermelons grew on the side of my house just from spitting seeds

so I assume they are pretty easy to grow

LOL good luck with that shit. I just got myself some good genetics, some Hashberry from Mandala. I hope classes are canceled tomorrow cuz of the storm, but I bet it will move on by then.

You gonna do a grow log in here? I was thinking about doing one with my vegetable garden this year. I would love to watch that pumpkin grow. Good luck with the strawberries as well.

i have a strawberry patch in my garden, looks shitty now because of the winter but ya cool plant.
easy to grow.

great advice here.
"Normally don't let them fruit the first year. Let them spend their time developing the plant underground. Second year they will fruit OK and third year to go town. Then they gradually peter out so you need to be starting new plants each year and removing the old."
