At the risk of appearing slow I need some clarification please. The cfl light that I have for the vegitative stage was sold specificaly for the spectrum it has thats conducive to vegging. That will not impede flowering once I have put the new bulb that is more on the red side of spectrum .Should I decide to use both bulbs?

Both bulbs will be fine. The more light the better, if you can get more flower bulbs than veg your plants will be happier.
But if it's just a matter of having your one flowering bulb, versus 1 flower and 1 veg, more light wins.

I would put more than 2 bulbs in there also, you dont want fluffy buds after all this hard work.

heh, same thing. A HPS light is A HID light. HID = High Intensity Discharge.
