 you told him to do exactly the opposite of what i did. I've smoked just about everyday for the last 12 years or so and i've never experienced what he's talking about. Maybe getting better bud is in order. Lowering your tolerance is the easiest answer, but the OP seemed to recognize this in his first post so i skipped over associated methods.

dude just don't smoke for a day or two damn. seriously, that's what's gonna help the most.
when i was younger i could smoke a half in a night and be ready for more. nowadays, i can take like 3 deep hits and hold them in for a minute and i got a good buzz  saves weed, and money.
