So last night at a little gathering... we were all smoking talkin shit.  Then we get on the topic of trafficking weed which leads to growing which leads to...

"I knew this guy who grew 30 lbs a month with a 10,000 watt hps"...

Was this guy that stoned to mix up 3lbs with 10 1000 watts maybe?  I just dont see  30lbs with a "10,000 watt" hps...

10kw will typically yield 20lbs a harvest or 10lbs a month.

however 600w's can yield 1.5lb if dialed in well sometimes more if you have a very heavy yielding strain

lets see: 454g(1lb)*30=13620 which is ~1.4gpw which isn't IMPOSSIBLE however that is assuming that the person meant 10kw of light not one lamp and that this person got the info "i harvest once a month" and "one cycle yields 30lb" mixed up

I just wanted to make sure i wasnt missing something.  But he was talking one single bulb producing 10,000 watts.  He said the bulb was about 2.5 ft in diameter.  As soon as he said that, my first thought was "How the FUCK do you dissipate THAT Much heat!

I know they make some mega lights... but 10,000w HPS, at only one light pullin 30lbs each month, idk...

Fer sure.  The greatest was watching everyone intently listen to the story.  As soon as he said 10k watt bulb larger then a human i went "HUH?... nigga please!" But just let him go on to tell me about how harvests were 30lbs a month, curing in 2 weeks (known to us as DRYING... Boulder doesnt poses "cured weed" very often.  Its few and far to come by...)
