My baby's home alone for her first time!!
    #333233 - 12/18/09 02:02 PM (14 years, 4 months ago)

I'm so scared for my little plant! I had to leave today for at least a week. I have her rigged up to a really finicky air pump automatic water-er I pulled out of my ass.

Who's got experience with leaving your plants and coming back to them?

Chill Willis. I have left mine before, but my buddy took care of them.

Well it could go one of two ways, one it could die. And the other it could be alright. I put my money on it being really wilted but not dead. How old is the plant?

At least they wont stretch up into the bulbs this late in the game.  Saturate that shit with water and you will be chill.

I did extensive practicing with my 'finicky air pump auto-water-er' and I'm pretty confident I've got it rigged up to give it 1/4 pint of water per day right before the lights come on.
My hope is that the (150w hps) will provide sufficient energy to evaporate the water daily for a new watering the next morning.

It's just the stress of not knowing whats going on with my baby thats getting to me. I have left plants for about a week before and they were fine getting by with just a hefty watering, but that was late veg/early flowering.. This girl's getting some decent red hairs on her now.

Yeah I have done this for 2 weeks before and worried like a mother fucker.

All will be well!  Trust me it will be better than well.  When I came back to mine I was like "where the fuck did my plants go and who put these bushes here!?"

In other words, You will love the fact that you actually notice a growth jump whereas when you see them everyday you don't notice the growth until you go over your journal and look at the weekly progress.

I hope so!
I did snap a couple of pics  of her before I left, mostly just to show friends. I'm glad I did it for more reasons than just gloating now.

You'd be surprised what a large amount of bud/potential money will do to a lifelong friend.  Some people just can't beat temptation.

But I see where you are coming from.

I left my hydro set up with 8 plants growing in my closet last december for 8 days or so.  I closed and locked the door and had everything on timers long before I left so the only real concern I had was my landlord coming in and discovering them.  I dont have a lock on my closet door so I had to add a latch/lock type set up to it.  If you've got time before you leave set it all up how ya want it and monitor it while you can, before you have to run it unsupervised.  goood luck!  also, should this be in the cult section?  I will also add that I was in the early stages of growth when this happened.  This is all documented in my first grow log.
