auto flower/ low ryder
    #329674 - 12/11/09 02:06 AM (14 years, 3 months ago)

New to the forums.  I was wondering if anyone could educate me just a bit about auto flower strains.  I just heard about this recently and am back in the game after a pretty good hiatus.  Anyone?

i wanna grow this strain
its auto blueberry feminised seeds
apparently its got ''Blueberry indica with the original Lowryder strain to give a fruity, laid-back indica high in an auto-flowering version''
http://www.drchronic.com/products.asp?recnumber=1968
has anyone ever attempted growing this strain before?
its type is indica/ruderalis
is there anything i should know thats especially important when growing this particular type?

all help appreciated!:mushroom2:

Personally not a fan of Lowryder but similar (IMHO better) autoflowering plants can be found in strains like Mighty Mite and Gurilla Gold (spelling wrong on the last i think) While you might only get about 5% Autoflowering out of those strains you will also find lots of Highly photosensitive seedlings and in my books these plants are better than Autoflowering strains assuming you can let them grow for a bit longer.
With Highly photosensitive plants you still get a plant that flowers early (5-8 weeks after sprouting) and you have the option of starting them under 24/7 lighting in order to bulk them up or get them going early and depending on the plant they will start to flower as soon as they are exposed to a photoperiod of 18-22 hours which is pretty much as soon as they go outside unless you live north of the artic circle.
I have found that these plants yeild better and produce great results even when directly sown in late april to early may with some ripening as early as late july and lots in august.

Great information.  I've never heard of the hypersensitive plants before but it totally makes sense.  I have seen random plants in peoples plots flowering months before others with no real logical answer.  Now I know
