 i am giving up ALL substances.

today is my first day not using. it has been really hard but givin me the motivation to succeed. heres a little about me:
i am addicted to a wide variety of drugs.. mostly downers
i use 100+ mgs of oxy (or the equivalent depending on what i can find) daily.
i take up to 7 mgs of xanax daily
and bowl after bowl
this is just the daily things evry day.
my problems have gotten bad, i am a 21 y/o male, i am allso very intellegent, but this drug use as put my life into a rapid decline, every thing is falling apart and i am losing everything.
growery i need some support, some ideas, anything to help me get rid of the NEED to use drugs

I'll support you. I wouldn't quit the weed, because it'll help you through tough times during addiction.

thanks for the support guys, and athough i do belive weed to be a non threatening substance i am giving it up..along with nicotine.
because i want to be able to make it through a whole day w/o altering my state of mind. im just being precautions because if i can let weed slip thru then i might find my self waking up in a sweat at 3 am loading a rig telling my self its just 20 milligrams. and i dont want to be this guy any more.
although i will keep this in mind b/c i do agree that trying to give up everything at once will result in a break down and there fore a fail so if i do continue to use canna bis how often should i use. i obviously cant blaze a bowl every 90 mins all day long every day. what about if i did somethingn like i only smokeed with ini 2 hours of bedtime, and never did it socially? sound ook

You'll need the weed...Then later on once everything else is behind you then you can choose if you want to stop smoking pot...Pot won't control your life...In my opinion its the least harmless of sort of "addiction"

Even if you want to quit the weed I say you still smoke it. Just smoke less each day until you quit, that way you'll know you're headed on the right path towards ending your addiction. I once heard a cigarette smoker say they forced themselves to smoke cigarettes to help end their addiction. Trust me stick with the weed and just lower your usage until you quit, then you'll know you have strong willpower.

gateway- its up to you if you want to keep the weed burning or not. It sounds like you need a big lifestyle change, and that might include getting rid of anything that makes you not sober.
Don't be afraid to ask for professional help. You don't want to fuck this up, and withdrawing from that much opiates will be hard.

yeah man I'm coming up on month six of nothing at all...its do-able.....not trying to recommend more substances but perhaps detoxing your self for a day or two then eating some mushrooms...sounds nuts but it might help you out

so here is my first day entirly w/o drugs.(took a few downers early yesterday b4 deciding to stop), i took the day off work today i figured i would need it.
\\any ways i have been having a hard time finding something interesting to do all of my daily habits involve drug use lol. but im working on it im reading the new james rollins book.
but i do grow, just not weed, i grow the magnificent papaver soniferum, and mushys, but i intend to grow a few bag seeds sometime in the near future.
