Purple marijuana strain advice

What are the consistently purple strains.
I always see weed with a little purple IRL, but never like the purple stuff in pictures online.
any info or links to seedbanks with really purple strains would be awesome.

Ive heard that blackberry can get quite purple if you get the temps down in late flowering. Kindseed is excellent and very reliable.In my experience there are many strains that will take on purple hues but to get the really dark vivid purple the temperature needs to be lower to get the real colors to come through. the color change is like the leaves in fall. the cooler the temps the more vivid the color. Not too cool or you'll stunt growth.

From seed the best purple I've tried is Lavender from Soma Seeds.

Purple/Widow from Da Shaman, via: DrChronic.com It is an enormous outdoor strain. Said it grows up to 10' or so. }=)~

Lavender sounds like it would be very purple.
I heard you attended The Cup, please tell me of this great place.
Did you smoke the winner super lemon haze, I think when I order some beans this will be at the top of my list, has to be good if it won 2 cup in a row.

Yeah it's good but right now there isn't a club in Cali that doesn't have better weed then even the winner of the cup. Don't get me wrong it's killer but it's no OG Kush, or Green Crack. I go to see if there are any new breeding teks or the exhibits of the new growing equipment or any new strains that I want to work with and I did find a few.

I've already tried a lot of there gear and they do a great job. (and they do it right here in Cali so you know the strains are real not like the green house seeds versions and so on.

The apothecary genetics seeds. I was checking out http://www.apothecarygenetics.com/contact.htm and it says they don't send cannabis seeds or grow info to the united states

I was browsing Seed Boo, and in their search I just typed in White Widow, and I got all the different WW from different places come up.  When you look through them there seems to be such a range of prices like you could get them from Greenhouse and get 10 fem seeds for like $90, or 10 fems from Nirvana for like $66. Or for example MOC white widow is only $31 (10 seeds) while DPS 10 pack is $83?

  Whats the difference? Is there a quality difference? or are some of these companies the original makers or something?

I'm kinda new to this stuff so I'm still learning.  I'd like to get the best quality seeds I can (that  I can still afford. )

yes.
I believe the OG white widow is now called Black widow from Mr. Nice.
I think if you choose any of the major seed companies:

Mr. Nice
Sensi
Greenhouse
Dutch Passion
De shaman


you'll be getting as close to the original as possible without going the black widow route.....which I believe is sold out nearly everywhere.
I think if you choose white widow from any companies you'll be getting extremely resinous and potent smoke(or they probably wouldn't call it White Widow).
Only my speculation though, I've never got beans from a bank.

i think it is different for every case. sometimes breederes get OG then tweak it a little and keep the original name. sometimes maybe similar just bred to be like the original?  no expert  magash might know little more.  :wink:

I wish marijuana seeds fell into the same loophole as spore prints and could be sold and traded as such.
The world would be a better place with that much good marijuana genetics being spread around free.
if the laws here in the USA ever lighten up I'd be the first to start a free seed ring.
