Something you want the world to know

So I have to write a speech about something i want the world(class) to know. Instructor left it quite open ended and I have no idea what I want to write about...

I'm about to spark a bowl and see if my thoughts flow a little better :wink:

But in the mean time any and all ideas are open... What's something YOU would like the world to know?

Personally, I think the world needs to realize that we need to work with nature instead thinking that we dominate it. I'd expound more on the idea but Super Mario beckons and I have to beat the Vanilla Dome #4..

I would want to share the idea that though we tend to fabricate a system of ideas, ideals and experiences around ourselves as an individual (the ego-centric view of the world), we are all part of a greater living organism that can be viewed from the most macroscopic level; that is, the Universe.  Instead of focusing on the Universe as a collective entity woven of all things, it may be easier to focus strictly upon the interconnectedness of our species, or perhaps of our entire biosphere (i.e. Earth).  That, in recognizing these connections, we may make decisions that are more beneficial for life in all of its forms, rather than the often short-sighted decisions that are made for immediate gain with little regard toward future consequence.

Another idea that comes to mind would be a discussion about the harm caused by prohibition in general; and that in recognizing a human's right to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness, every individual ought to be allowed to make any personal decision for themselves so long as it does not directly harm another individual.  Anything less than such a system would stand to impose selfish and subjective morality upon others; in essence attempting to stifle the wonderful variety of human consciousness that can exist if left to be free rather than forcibly formed into specific ideals.

i would like to tell the world that we should all come together as one and work together to achieve common goals. on a small and large scale. everyone thinking they have the best idea does nothing, but if we all worked together, we could achieve more. there would be more ideas on how to preserve the environment, ideas on natural resources...everything. peace, love, happiness, health throughout the whole world man...and no im not a hippy
