Hi everyone,
Well, I am slowly starting to get my head around hydroponics. I finally bought an awesome PH tester and of course, knowing full well the PH would in fact be off somehow, I also bought some awesome PH buffers.

Anyway,
Sure enough I tested the solution in my res and boom, dark blue.... Obviously now, the PH levels are pretty good thanks to the buffers. It's somewhere in between 6.5 and 7. Now, I read somewhere that if your PH is waaay to high, then the plants will probably be male. However, I bought feminized seeds.
So.... although I bought female seeds, could the ph have thrown off their gender? Take note, the water here is very alkaline so these guys have been drinking high alkaline solutions for their entire lives so far.

Ouch. The bad ones are rough, the others ok.
As long as you got the pH in check, and you don't stress your plants anymore during this grow, you should be ok.
Stressed plants don't become male, they become hermaphrodites and then self pollenate.
