Glass Repair.
    #301396 - 10/21/09 05:48 PM (14 years, 5 months ago)

Well, I had picked up a bubbler thats pretty sweet last night, I was all jazzed about it but after the guy left I decided to smoke a bowl, while smokin I noticed it was leaking, so whats im getting to is, what would you use to fix this, would super glue do the trick?

Well its right between 2 chambers, so that's the bad thing, waters traveling between both of them and stuff. Whats everyones preferred choice to mend broken glass? Besides going to get it professionally done.

in the meantime, if you want, go find some stuff called "plumbers putty".  It's non toxic, forms a water tight seal, and stays pliable so that when you want to remove it you just peel it off.

It's great stuff, when I'm forced to make homemade pipes it's what i use to seal up any leaks.

Yeah just make sure whatever you use will come off when you do decide to get it fixed right

superglue would most likely not work and make it irreparable (or a pain in the ass to repair anyway)

I was going to recommend aquarium sealant.  but the plumbers putty sounds better since it would be easier to remove once you want to fix the piece for real.  Take it to a glass shop (where there's a studio) and see what they can do with it.

Bummer about the pipe man...I guess that explains the $80 price tag huh?

It shouldn't be crazy expensive to have a pro repair it, and you'll still come out ahead in terms of your out of pocket cost.
