I just noticed that I made my 5000th post a few hours ago. How many boards have I done this on over the years? What a testament to mostly wasted time. I say mostly. A lot of good and some bad along the way has come of posting across the net since the days of usenet long before boards as we know them were created. I guess it's not wasted if you enjoy yourself and the people you cross paths with. I'm still in touch with my very first ever internet friend whom I still have not met irl. We started talking many years ago on IRC. She is one of my most top myspace friends today.
That's all post count milestones are really good for. A quick moment of reminiscing.
