Depending on the species, it might take up to 2 years for the plants to fully mature. Also, it's critical that you grow them in a high altitude environment. Unless you have a plot of land in Latin America, I would suggest you grow a personal garden. A larger garden would attract unwanted attention.
But if you are up for it, do it with caution. Some of my close friends have ventured into that industry; I have never heard from them again. That's either an incredibly good thing, or a terribly bad thing.
