planting the seed directly outdoors would be a bad idea.
if possible, start it indoors and give it at least a couple weeks growth before transferring it outside.
there's a good chance you would never see the seed germinate if put directly outdoors. since you have only one seed, you want the best chances possible. this means ideal conditions for germination and early-growth.
