Greenhouse Vs Planted

Anyone have any opinions on the diffrent outcomes of a greenhouse potted grow as opposed to an outdoor in ground soil grow? I may be attempting both soon to experiment and see results, the only perks I can see are the provided screen against animals and freezes.. I could see it being a huge help during the winter but as for the summer i'm not sure if its appealing to me.. the temperature climb inside the green house seems like it would be a huge strain to control with temperatures reaching 110 some days out here. What do you folks think! Thanks!

with a greenhouse you can start much, much earlier and get a month's+ additional time onto the vegetative growth, which can make an unbelievable, almost exponential difference. like you said you also keep out animals. as far as the excess temps in mid summer, you should be able to control that somehow, opening slats in the roof or something along those lines. Although 110 might be a bit high, i don't believe it would be a problem as long as water was plentifully available and relative humidity levels were high.

I plan on doing quite a few plants in it this winter/spring/summer but I think i'll just do a small greenhouse grow to get the humidity/summer temps down pat before experimenting with lots of plants inside there
