well i started my seeds i was thinking  its getting about that time so its been about a week now and all of them are popping. one is about a week further i couldn't just do one!!

Will put some pics to show the seedlings not much to look at but the two small leaves but gives an idea of how it all begins.
Ill be transplanting the females outdoors as soon as it warms up enough. than possibly back indoors if there not done budding.

I was thinking about keeping one inside as a house plant, i dont think it'd get enough light though?

3/26/**
once seedlings where all up, transfered them to individual containers out of 20 seeds only six popped up! (this is my first attempt to grow seeds that i germinated from last years harvest)

right now I'm using natural sunlight from the window and a fan to circulate aire movement though-out the room.

03/31/**

I was able to get a 42watt CFL bulb which puts out 2800 lumens and the color temp is 2850. the window thing wasnt working out and i cant install my hps bulb here to so im going another way.
right now i have five one died and i tried to revive it but it still went this is the reason i got the CFl plus there under it 24hours a day.

OK so i found one repot of someone growing 1 plant under a 150 watt CFL it did pretty well. an ideal grow light puts out about 45,000 lumens  if im using the 42 watt cfls that put out 2800 lumes im going to need 16 of these right?

Wow i thought i could get away with like three or should i get some high wattage CFLs and some more fixtures? heres a pic of what i got now the plants look much grenner and are actually growing quit rapidly!

4/3/**

Not much has changed just the setup took some advice and setup a proper 42watt CFL going to be getting one for each plant making a total number of 252 watts of power and 6 lights= fixture(may fab up a fixture myself to house these in). that is when they grow to big for this light. heres a pic of how its looking under 24h.

4/8/**

heres a lil picture update i put both lights on them the 45 watt and 42 watt im going to get one more of each bulb when they get bigger, im trying to figure out some sort of way i can get them in a fixture or rig something up to hang them so there not all clustered up in those metal shop lights. Any ideas on this or is there a place i can get something, i saw this hydro 125watt CFl but would i need more lights anyway? i could just hang them off of it.

Or theres these t5 bulbs its about 120 bucks and theres 400 watts of power and 10000 lumens i believe.

4/10/**

In my spare time i been working on a light fixture not to sure if its worth a shit though, it can hold 150watt on each socket which is a total of 300 watts of cfl lights thats well enough for my samll grow. right now the 45 watt is doing just fine. I need some way to hang the fixture, the room im in has a 45degree tilt on the ceiling, Also what wire do i groud on it? it works fine without a ground but i dont want a fire or anything!!

heres an update put the fixture behind to help with reflecting some ligh back at the plants.

4/13/**

I am using the lamp i made its pretty jimmy rigged but it holds 2 of the 45 watt bulbs that means hopefully the plants are getting the 6000 lumens it puts out!( Untill i get some money this or the other reflectors im using will have to do im going to get a 125watt grow system i found for fairly cheap.)
It can hold up to 300 watts safely. tell me what you think

4/18/**

They are looking really nice today getting much bigger, i need to transplant into bigger pots, im thinking of putting them in 3 gallon buckets or something i can see the roots coming out of the bottom. this will give me a chance to raise the light, possibly get more light another cool white 45watter seems to be a good choice they seem to like that light more than the warm 42 watt light i got. that would put me at a total of 177 watts than when i get some more money ill get the hydro light system thats a 125watt CFL with the reflector( same one that EG used i believe;)) will post pics when in bigger pots.

Yeah, as you know by now, that doesn't work. Get a set-up or grow outdoor.

No it doesnt work very well! im going to be putting them outside when there is no chance of snow. i wanted to see what the diffence is between starting them early and putting them in the ground with the rest of my garden.

I may get my 150watt hps going but its not really enuf to do much?right?

There is something to be said about starting an outdoor crop too early. While getting a jump start indoor is a great idea, anyone planting outdoor needs to get a Farmer's Almanac. Start your seeds indoor about 3 weeks before the last frost (according to the F Almanac). About 5 weeks into the growth, they will be perfectly suited for putting outdoor.

A 150W HPS will work, but for a few more pesos you could pick up a 400W. That would be better.

Okay so ive decided i cannot do my hps bulb at this location, instead i bought a 42watt CFL the lumens it puts out is 2800, the color temp is 2850. how many more of these will i need for when the plants get bigger? i dont need super bud just something to smoke on ya know. and ive seen some bud that has come from these lights and it looks pretty good! im going to post a pic to show you guys 2mrw, and doa bit more research on CFL's the grow bible doesnt have much on these

by the way i do plan on getting some sort of better lighting if i continie to grow inside i only plan on doing 4 plants inside at once. i was looking at a 400watt hps system they arent to much but may raise the electric bill up 200 pops more!

I broke down and bought another light already have a fixture and every thing, its a 45watt CFL that puts out 3000lumens and the color temp is 4100k. Which is great for vegging, ill use the 42watt one plus this and another one when its time to flower.

They are really taking off there at there 2 node and the stems are getting nice and hard/thick! i think i may have used to much MG fert on em the tips are burnt not to bad though so a good flush of water will sort them out.

Cant wait for them to start to flower, how much longer do you guys think this will take? its already been almost two weeks since they spourted and a week for them being under the CFL's.

i could possibly bring them outside during the day for there 12 hours of light and than put them inside for there 12 hours of dark or should just let good be?

Thanks for the comments and advice all well taken!:stoner:

It will probably be about another 3 weeks at least before you should switch to 12/12. As far as moving them indoor and outdoor. Well my feelings are that if you are forcing an outdoor plant to flower, bringing them in is perfectly fine. But to confuse and stress plants with two different types of lights (one being the sun), temp fluctuations, and the elements is not a good idea.

Okay i got a question,,, ive been reading and it seems that people start to flower indoors after 3 weeks of veg? if thats so should i start flowering now? its been almost 4 since the popped up. and to me they seem kinda skranny on there 4 node set and starting there 2ndary growth!

I also need to get some bigger pots and some organic soil( i have some good compost in a pile outside ill use ill throw some perlite in there aswel!!)

I would wait until they are about a foot tall, if you are going to use CFLs to flower. You need more light for that though.

I think most people who flower after 3 weeks are using clones, and even then it's 3 weeks after they have rooted.

If you're going from seed then take EG's advice. At around 12" you should see signs of sex. Cull the males and switch the ladies to 12/12.

Yeah, they are talking about clones. I guess its confusing if you are new to it all. It can seem a bit overwhelming when the truth is that its fairly simple to grow.

The idea was i wanted to get bud before the end of the summer but it seems that i must put them outside when i plant the rest of my garden i think they will do alot better outside than indoors under the CFL's but i will take clones and keep the clones in as winter comes and keep an on going set of female clones going, and place as many rooted clones outside the next summer.

The plants are doing alrite going on to there 4,5th node set i over fert them and think killed one but oh well i have 40 more seeds i can plant outside when the time comes but i will have some good head start on the ones i got inside right now.

the pots are 3 gallons each one is a pot that i had my san pedro in so hopein it will work.

well i wish i would have read this two weeks ago, i put them in pots already and switched to 12/12 about two weeks ago... this is going to be just to see how it all works and to get by, if i wanna grow pot i will need at least a 250-400 watt hps to get the job done.

They are showing signs of sex, i think the big thick one is a male which is good the other three are female.
Ill pollinate the females alil to get some more seeds but keep the more stable strain separate to collect them when finished. will post some pics i know you guys aren't going to be happy with these but its what i got at least which make me happy.
