I am not sure if it was a growery member talking about this product or not. Actually I think it was from Roll it up, thread name vertical grow with auto water or something like that. At any rate they look great! I have yet to use them but others who have stated they worked well. I was having trouble finding a source for these until I came across this http://www.blumat-shop.de/index.php .
They offer kits and individual components even in bulk. I have contacted them to see if they will ship to the US but in the meantime I thought this might help some of you.
The blumat measures the moisture in the soil and activates a drip tube when the soil dries out. It can be used attached to a garden hose fitting or a passive gravity fed reservoir. Users have watered mothers with little upkeep or whole grow setups.
I've seen similar products already sold in the US. Looks good for the outdoor growers.
