It comes. Both of mine are gone...All of my grandparents are...The first one was impossible I was only 12-13 and he was more of a Dad to me than my real dad...But you know it happens bro.

agreed
mine died two years ago, and i wish he was still around today even if just for advice and someone to talk to. My grandfather was a simple person, and i always admired that about him. He understood life was life and you put along doing what you need to and enjoy every moment you can. To do meaningful things with my life. And to fix everything instead of buying something brand new, unless you have to, or you are just too lazy to get around to fixing it.

Very sorry about your loss KP. I lost mine a few years back. We were real close as he raised me more as his kid than Grand kid until I was 9. I still miss him often. His wife is the only Grandparent I have left and I have considered her gone to for years now too due to Alzheimer's.

Thanks. Alzheimer's is a terrible disease. She used to have sudden flashes of clarity where she would realize how she was and what was wrong with her. They would devastate her and that has been the hardest thing for me to see from her I think. She was always a strong and proud woman that loved her family above all in this world. She never comes out of her 'world' anymore though. From the outside that appears to be easier on her but who can really tell?

i know how you feel (not firsthand really, but kind of). my grandfather had it very bad.... before he passed, my father went to see him and he didnt even recognize him. i mean i think its a given she wont recognize me, but to not recognize your son. that must have been horrible.

Sorry to hear about your loss I just lost my grandpa on the 28 of December that's why I have not been on lately. I have been going over and seeing my grandma as much as possible to help her through these rough times. My grandpa was 94 and was married to my grandma for 69 years would have been 70 this year.
